The last couple of weekends have been filled with some fun things. A few weeks ago, Dan and I made the trek to Phoenix to visit our good friends, the Bairds. Stephanie and I treated ourselves to a day at the spa while Dan and Kevin went go-carting. I think that’s a fair trade, don’t you?

After. We are very happy and sad to go home.
Another fun thing was a girls night at Amanda’s house. We had a yummy dinner and a decadent dessert, and then topped the evening off with some good old-fashioned karaoke. Amanda started the evening with some Backstreet Boys along with her back-up singer, Camdyn.
I’m pretty sure we were singing Brittney here. Oops I did it again. How do I still remember those dance moves?
Let’s just say this wasn’t Molly’s first time doing karaoke!
Then there was the Anaheim PBR. For those of you who do not know what that stands for, it’s the Professional Bull Riding competition. That’s right. We went. And we liked it. And it may even be an annual event. We’ll see.
Dan and I (mostly me) have been watching a lot of food network lately and were inspired to purchase a cast-iron skillet. Don’t worry, Emeril seasoned it for us. Anyway, we got a recipe and attempted to make a ‘steak-house’ steak right in our own home. We seasoned filet mignon with sea salt, cracked pepper, fresh garlic, and Italian flat leaf parsely. Then we seared the steak on both sides in the hot skillet, topped them with butter and baked in the oven. Let me just say Outback has some competition now! It was seriously amazing.
Well, I think that’s the update for now. Have a great week all!
